Podcast

Humoranities is about discovering, expressing, and appreciating the subtle humor in our everyday lives. Safura tries to find what’s funny about navigating human culture, from the dull and tedious to the awkward and inspirational. At every turn possible, she’ll relate her stories to the latest items she’s read, seen, heard, tasted, or places she’s been because she loves books, dramas, music, food, and travel!

About Safura

Over a morning cup of tea, you’ll find Safura reading the latest in her newsfeed or planning her next big travel adventure. Her brisk mid-day walks are set to the rhythm of an audiobook. In the evening, she prepares meals that remind her of people and places. She stays up late for guilt-free time watching high-stakes dramas. When Safura is not engaged in her exciting routine activities, she is booking tickets to comedy shows, concerts, or live theater. And, of course, a day for Safura would be incomplete without threads of laughter with her family and friends, or simply pleased by the giggles inside her own head.

Safura is a seasoned civil servant. She was born and raised in the United States where she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political & Social Thought and Asian Studies, and a Juris Doctorate.

Read her first published piece, Voice Notes, in The Aleph Review.
